Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Work history must define RRT-NICU experience in a Level III or Level IV NICU setting
• Must have work history at a delivering facility with experience attending deliveries (Children's Hospital experience only does not qualify)
• Strong neonatal intubation and neonatal arterial stick skills required
• Experience attending deliveries required
• Travel experience required
• Self-scheduling environment
• Patient ratios of 30 for days, nights, and weekends
• Float required within facility only
• Call required 2-3 times per 6 weeks
• Weekend coverage required with 6-7 weekend shifts per contract
• Orientation hours: 36
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Facility has 176 beds and 176 rooms
• Interdisciplinary support includes Respiratory Services and Rapid Response Teams
• Preferred charting system experience: Epic
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, RRT
• Key skills include adult critical care, neonatal intubation, neonatal arterial sticks, bubble CPAP, high frequency oscillator, oscillating ventilator, drawing arterial blood gases, tracheostomy care and management, mechanical ventilation weaning, high flow nasal cannula, BiPAP, CPAP, and neonatal transports
