Operating Room RN Job in Lakeport, CA

Sutter Health Lakeside Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room in Lakeport, California. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 2, 2026, offering a four-day work week with excellent earning potential.

Role Overview

You will work four 10-hour shifts per week, scheduled Monday through Thursday from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM. Rotating after-hours and weekend call is required, with two 24-hour weekend call shifts per month. You will care for patients across all age groups—adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics—in a daily census of approximately 14 surgeries across 4 operating rooms with a 1:1 patient ratio.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Valid California RN license
• Travel healthcare experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CNOR, NIHSS, and PALS (AHA or ARC certified)

Clinical Skills & Knowledge

You must be skilled in a wide range of surgical procedures including general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, podiatry, laparoscopic, and minimally invasive surgeries. You will demonstrate proficiency with the Epic charting system and specialized surgical equipment including electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, Hana Tables, and Steris sterilization systems. Knowledge of fire safety, radiation safety, laser safety, infection control protocols, and universal protocol compliance is required.

Compensation & Details
