Surgical Technologist Job in Fairfield, IA

Jefferson County Health Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a full-time day shift position in the surgical area. You will work Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with occasional call required until 7:00 PM. No overnight or weekend call is required.

In this role, you will:

• Perform surgical technician functions in the operating room
• Provide patient care in accordance with departmental standards and policies
• Support the surgical team during procedures

Position Details:

• Assignment duration: 91 days
• Start date: November 9, 2026
• Schedule: 5x8 days (40 hours per week)
• Weekly pay: $2,372
• Pay period: Monday through Sunday

Requirements:

• Successful graduation from a CAAHEP accredited Surgical Technology program
• BLS certification through American Heart Association
• Criminal background check required for all states where you hold a professional license and have lived or worked in the past 7 years
• Respiratory fit test required within one year of start date
• Iowa Mandatory Reporter Certificates for Child Abuse and Dependent Adult Abuse

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior surgical technician experience
