Certified Surgical Technologist Job in Mason City, IA

You will work as a Certified Surgical Technologist at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, Iowa. This is a 90-day travel assignment beginning October 19, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• 3 twelve-hour day shifts per week
• Weekly pay: $1,827.54
• On-call every 4th weekend
• Holiday on-call required for Christmas (7:00 AM December 25, 2026 through 7:00 AM December 26, 2026)

About the Role

You will support surgical teams in the operating room, preparing instruments, equipment, and the sterile field. Your responsibilities include positioning patients, handling specimens, and maintaining strict aseptic technique throughout procedures. You will work alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Qualifications

You must hold a current Certified Surgical Technologist credential and maintain the knowledge and skills required for intraoperative patient care. Experience in a hospital operating room setting is expected.

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is a full-service acute care facility. You will be part of a surgical services department that handles a diverse caseload. The on-call requirement means you may be called in outside your scheduled shifts, particularly every fourth weekend. The Christmas on-call period is mandatory.
