Job Details:

• 8-week assignment at the Sonnenalp Breast Center
• Perform breast imaging procedures including mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound, and assist with breast ultrasound biopsy
• Follow MQSA and ACR guidelines for breast imaging
• Demonstrate knowledge of breast anatomy, pathological conditions, and safe administration of radiation
• Operate and maintain working knowledge of all mammography and stereotactic equipment, examinations, and protocols
• Conduct and document quality control to ensure equipment is within safe limits per MQSA and ACR guidelines
• Communicate and educate patients prior to, during, and after breast imaging procedures
• Review and perform breast imaging examinations for technical accuracy and present completed examinations to the radiologist
• May perform radiographic examinations according to facility protocol
• Routinely schedule breast imaging appointments and assist in coordinating breast imaging exams
• Assist with department workflow management and ensure proper patient charges
• Organize, monitor, and order medical supply inventory
• Promote breast health education by assisting in organizational promotional and educational events
• Participate in the orientation of new employees and healthcare professionals
• Must be able to care for patients across age groups including adolescence, young adults, middle-aged adults, and geriatric patients
• Maintain 24 CEU credits according to A.R.R.T. guidelines every two years
• 1 year of experience preferred
• Required license: American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with Mammography (M)
• Required certification: Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Must possess computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements, access online forms and policies, and complete online benefits enrollment
• Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking
