Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Must hold Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Weekend shifts are required; frequency varies but typically no more than every other weekend
• Up to 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule (up to 4 call shifts per 13-week contract possible)
• No more than one call shift scheduled in any single week
• Night shift call is limited from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM only; traveler is not on call after 8:00 PM
• 24 orientation hours required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Epic charting system experience required; minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, RRT, and State License
• Must be proficient in adult critical care and a wide range of respiratory therapy skills including BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, mechanical ventilation, intubation assist, arterial blood gas drawing and interpretation, bronchoscopy, tracheostomy care and management, and patient transport
• Treats patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, rapid response teams, and transportation
• May be required to float to other units and campuses based on census needs
• Time off requests should be limited and holidays are not guaranteed
