Cat Scan Tech - Cat Scan Tech

Job Details:

• Work night shifts Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs
• Must be dependable, accountable, and cooperative
• Required certifications: ARRT-R (ARRT Radiography), ARRT-CT (ARRT Computed Tomography), BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required
• Less than 1 year experience in CT preferred
• Must have completed accredited program in Radiologic Technology
• Perform CT scans and technical procedures requiring independent judgment
• Set up equipment and position patients for imaging procedures
• Verify proper clinician orders and obtain complete clinical history
• Administer contrast media following established procedures
• Review CT/radiographic images for clinically acceptable results
• Maintain competency with venipuncture and power injection operation
• Respond to emergency situations and maintain life support equipment
• Demonstrate sterile technique and pre/post procedural care
• Adjust technique to minimize radiation dose while maintaining image quality
• Complete all studies in RIS and send to PACS immediately after completion
• Take call when necessary
• Must exhibit excellent communication and customer service skills
• Must be able to work effectively in stressful and fast-paced environment
• Must be detail oriented with ability to multitask and prioritize appropriately
