Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Day shifts, 12 hours from 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 6-week contract length
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• Two to three nights of on-call per week
• May float throughout the hospital as needed
• May float to a secondary location if staffing needs require, with no on-call requirement at that location
• Perform basic respiratory therapies, arterial blood gas draws, and both non-invasive and invasive ventilator management
• Conduct home sleep testing, Holter monitoring, EKG, event monitors, nebulizer treatments, and pulmonary function testing
• Provide patient education and support OB deliveries and Trauma/ED cases
• Apply assess and treat protocols and provide care for all age groups
• Work independently covering the facility
• Equipment used includes: HAMILTON GV VENT, LTV VENT, C1 VENT, EPIC EMR, MGC PFT BODY BOX, GE SEER HOLTERS, GE MAC5500 EKGs, PHILLIPS V60 BiPAP, and PYXIS DOSE MANAGEMENT
• Required certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and ARRT license; NRP preferred
• Michigan respiratory license required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Associate Degree or Certificate required
• Dress code: Scrubs
