About this role

Join Piedmont Augusta Hospital as an Electrophysiology Technician. You'll work in a specialized EP Lab setting with two rooms, managing a 1:5 patient ratio and handling 8–12 patients per day. This role is open to candidates with a minimum of one year of experience; first-time travelers are welcome.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform technical duties in electrophysiology procedures including cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, and pacemaker insertion and programming
  • Assist with AICD insertion and programming, tilt table studies, and dysrhythmia interpretation
  • Maintain scrub and sterile field standards, manage isolation precautions, and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
  • Operate specialized equipment including Biosense Webster CARTO, Abbott EnSite X, MicroPace, and Farapulse by Boston Scientific
  • Document patient care in Epic and manage medication dispensing via Pyxis

Schedule & Time Off:

  • 4x10 hour day shifts on block scheduling
  • Every other weekend required
  • No weekend call; however, you may be asked to remain past shift hours if on call that day
  • Maximum 7 days of requested time off per 133-day contract
  • RTO blackout includes Spring Break (April 4–12)
  • Holiday work expected: one holiday if one falls during your assignment; both if two fall; two of three if three fall. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

Requirements & Skills:

  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • ARRT R, CCI RCIS, or CCI RCES certification
  • Charting system experience (Epic preferred)
  • Patient population: Adults to Geriatrics
  • Rare floating within facility scope of practice

The facility provides scrubs. Compensation is $2,563 weekly. Assignment begins September 28, 2026, for 133 days.
