Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Oncology

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend shifts required as needed to fill staffing needs
• Holiday rotation participation required
• No on-call or standby requirements
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4
• Charge nurse present on each shift and does not take patients
• CNA support available at 1:8 ratio
• Tele techs on unit - must be able to respond appropriately to life-threatening rhythms
• Common diagnoses and patient types include BMT, oncology, GYN oncology surgeries, hospice, and general med/surg patients
• Administer pain medication drips and PCAs
• Operate RT equipment including CPAP and High Flow
• Chart using EPIC system
• Travelers are first to float to med/surg units and may be asked to float to sister facilities in Meridian or Nampa
• 2 days of unit-specific orientation with a preceptor provided
• Scrubs may be any color; hoods are not permitted
• Chemo certification required to administer chemotherapy
• BMT or chemo experience required
• Minimum 1 year of oncology experience required; general med/surg nurses must have a minimum of 2 years of experience
• BSN required
• Required certifications: BLS
