MRI Tech - MRI Tech

Job Details:

• Tuesday through Friday shift schedule from 12:30 PM to 11:00 PM
• Generally works four 10-hour shifts
• Shift start times range between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM
• Weekend shifts only required if hired for a weekend position
• High volume of inpatients (10-14 per day) and outpatients (4-8 per day) on weekends
• Performs musculoskeletal imaging, basic neuro, abdominal/pelvis imaging, radiation oncology, and breast imaging
• Will see pacer and anesthesia patients as well as ICU and NICU patients
• Averages 30 scans/studies per day due to long protocols
• Works with a total of 4 scanners with agency staffing 2 scanners
• May cover a mobile unit as well
• IV starts required
• Will not need to float or cover other areas
• Full-time supervisor on site with a senior tech scheduled when lead tech is unavailable
• Radiologists are in-house during daytime hours with majority of MRI readers working remotely
• EMR system: Meditech
• PACS system: McKesson/Change Healthcare
• Equipment used: Siemens (Philips scanner to be added)
• 1 year of MRI experience required
• Must have experience with Siemens equipment; Philips experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred; Level II trauma experience is a strong plus
• Black scrubs required with black or gray jacket (no fleece); black or gray undershirt permitted under scrubs
• Scrubs are not provided
• 1-2 weeks of department-specific orientation
• Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
• Acute care setting
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), Certified MRI Technologist - ARRT (MR)
