Med Surg RN Job in Augusta, GA

AU Medical Center, Inc. is seeking an RN for an acute care inpatient position in Augusta, GA. This is a day shift role running from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM on a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 27, 2026.

About the Role

You will provide relationship-based, patient-centered nursing care across an acute care setting. Your responsibilities include performing the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practice. You will coordinate and document safe, quality care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, participate in performance improvement activities and shared governance, and serve as a preceptor and mentor for nursing professionals and students as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care tailored to population-specific characteristics, including age, gender, and disease
• Partner with patients and significant others using appropriate communication methods, including bedside shift report and interdisciplinary rounds
• Function effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a decisive and composed manner
• Support clinical care and documentation using basic computer systems
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking, time management, and interpersonal skills

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of acute care experience
• Associate's, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
• Active RN license (single state or multi-state compact)
• BLS certification required upon hire (AHA or American Red Cross accepted)

Compensation

Weekly pay is $1,828 for this 91-day assignment.
