OR RN Job in Miami, FL

HCA Florida Mercy Hospital is seeking an RN for Operating Room backfill in Miami. You will work a 4-day, 10-hour schedule with rotating weekends on a shift from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. This 91-day travel assignment begins June 24, 2026.

Role Responsibilities

• Serve as both scrub nurse and circulator across all service lines
• Manage a patient ratio of 3:1
• Perform observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and excellent bedside manner
• Participate in on-call rotation: 4 calls per 4-week period including 2 weeknight calls (7 PM–7 AM), 2 weekend 24-hour calls, and 1 holiday 24-hour call if holiday falls within the period

Experience & Certifications Required

• Minimum 2 years current experience in acute OR setting
• Ortho, spine, and joint replacement experience required, specifically knee and hip replacement
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Preferred: PALS, CNOR, and charge experience

Procedures & Equipment

• Typical procedures include joint replacement, ENT, orthopedic, spine, urology, vascular, podiatry, thoracic surgery, and plastic surgery
• Equipment includes x-rays, preoperative equipment, anesthesia equipment, lab equipment, and EKG
• EMR system: Meditech

Work Environment

• Dress code: Navy blue or royal blue scrubs required (no surgical-type scrubs)

Weekly pay is $2,520. You will join a collaborative surgical team and contribute directly to patient outcomes in a dynamic OR setting.
