Job Details:

• Work a 4-day schedule with rotating weekends
• Serve as both scrub nurse and circulator across all service lines
• On-call requirements: 4 calls per 4-week period including 2 weeknight calls (7PM-7AM), 2 weekend 24-hour calls, and 1 holiday 24-hour call if holiday falls within the period
• Patient ratio of 3:1
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Must have 2 years current experience in acute OR setting
• Ortho, spine, and joint replacement experience required, specifically knee and hip replacement experience
• Preferred certifications: PALS, CNOR
• Charge experience preferred
• Work with typical procedures including joint replacement, ENT, orthopedic, spine, urology, vascular, podiatry, thoracic surgery, and plastic surgery
• Use equipment including x-rays, preoperative equipment, anesthesia equipment, lab equipment, and EKG
• EMR system: Meditech
• Dress code: Navy blue or royal blue scrubs required (no surgical-type scrubs)
• Responsible for observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care
• Must demonstrate critical thinking skills, passion for patient care, multitasking abilities, and excellent bedside manner
