CVOR Technologist Surgical Tech Job in Colorado Springs, CO

Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs is seeking a Surgical Technologist with cardiothoracic and vascular operating room (CVOR) experience. This is a 91-day travel assignment running 3 twelve-hour day shifts per week, from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.

About the Role

You will work across 16 operating suites, supporting an average of 30 cases daily. Your primary cases will include General, Ortho, Robotics, Neuro, Spine, Urology, and ENT procedures. Experience in General, Neuro, and Robotics is required for this position. You will use EPIC for charting and will have scrubs provided. The facility does not require floating, though in extreme circumstances you may float within Zone 1 facilities.

Scheduling and On-Call

You will work set schedules with block-scheduling options. The contract includes approximately 120 hours of call, self-scheduled between weekdays and weekends. One weekend shift is required per 6 weeks. Holiday call is preferred but not required. Call response time is 30 minutes, and a sleep room is available on-site if needed.

Orientation and Residency

A one-week unit and department-specific orientation is required. You must be in-state for the orientation week, even if first-day modules are delivered remotely. You are required to reside within 60 miles of the facility and must submit a valid driver's license.

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
• Colorado DORA license
• Experience in General, Neuro, and Robotics procedures

Compensation and Duration

This 91-day assignment begins October 19, 2026, and pays $1,684.80 per week.
