Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No on-call requirements
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam including identifying and measuring rhythm strips prior to start - failure of exam will result in contract termination
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Nevada RN license required prior to start
• Care for patient population including CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMIs, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and post-procedure patients such as pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, and open heart surgery patients downgraded from ICU
• Administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips including Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro
• Provide comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families
• May float to intensive care units for telemetry/medically appropriate assignments, medical surgical units, and other facilities within the organization up to competency level
• Schedule varies based on department needs and may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
• May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during schedule period
