Job Details:

• Schedule options: 5x8-hour shifts (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) or 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM–5:30 PM)
• On-call required
• No floating requirements
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Travel experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted
• Daily average surgical case volume of 6
• Daily census of 30–50 patients
• 16 operating rooms
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
• Position is a General Pediatrics CST role — not an L&D position
• Provide surgical services across ENT, GI, GU, Orthopedics, Neurology, Cardiovascular, and General surgery
• Required skills include: Appendectomy, Arterial Switch Operation, Arthroscopy, Aseptic Technique, Cleft Lip/Cleft Palate Repair, Closed/Open Reduction of Fractures, Coarctation of the Aorta Repair, Colon Resection, Fire Safety, Frenulectomy, Hernia Repair (Inguinal/Umbilical), Laparoscopic Assisted Surgery, Laser Safety, Pedi General OR, Radiation Safety, Rhinoplasty, Specimen Handling/Labeling, Sterilization/Disinfection, Tetralogy of Fallot Repair, Tonsillectomy/Adenoids, Tracheostomy, Universal Protocol (Time Out) Procedure, and Ventricular Septal Defect Repair
• Charting system experience required — Cerner
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred; Trauma Level II experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Orientation hours: 40
