Med Surg RN Job in Papillion, NE

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in our 28-bed Medical-Surgical unit at CHI Health Midlands in Papillion, Nebraska. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting August 31, 2026, with three 12-hour night shifts per week at $2,306.88 weekly pay.

Your Role

Night shift runs from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. You'll care for adult and geriatric patients with a 1:5 patient ratio on nights (1:4 on days when floating). A charge nurse leads each shift with a 1:10 ratio, and nurse aides and patient care techs are available to support you at a 1:10 ratio. You may occasionally float to the Emergency Room for 1:1 patient sitting assignments. Weekend and holiday coverage varies based on unit needs.

Orientation and Requirements

Your orientation includes classroom training and one 12-hour shift on the floor. You'll complete a pass/fail open-book exam during orientation; a minimum score of 90% is required to pass.

Required credentials: BLS Certification (ACLS preferred). A valid driver's license is required at the time of submittal. BSN is not required for this position. You must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.

Time Off

Requested time off must be submitted upfront. You may request 7 or fewer days off per 13-week contract period.
