OR RN Job in Martinsburg, WV

WVU Berkeley Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. This 91-day travel assignment runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with on-call rotation requirements. Weekly pay is $2,941. Your assignment begins August 10, 2026.

Role Details

You will circulate and scrub in a 9-suite OR with 1 procedure room and 1 hybrid room, handling 35–45 cases per day. Surgical specialties include general, ENT, eyes, ortho, robotics (Da Vinci and Rosa), neuro spine, vascular, trauma, and pediatric cases. You may float to outpatient surgery as needed and must be comfortable working as the only RN overnight with 2 techs.

Shift & On-Call

• 5x8 hour shifts: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Weekday and weekend call rotation with one weeknight on-call (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
• One 24-hour weekend on-call shift per month (7:00 AM–7:00 PM)
• Holiday call rotation as needed
• 30-minute response time required; must stay if located more than 30 minutes away while on call

Requirements

• 2–3 years of OR experience required
• 2–3 previous travel assignments required
• Ortho experience required
• Experience passing arms in and out for robotic procedures
• Proficiency with all surgical specialties for evening and night shifts
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications required; PALS preferred
