Operating Room RN Job in Hurricane, WV

CAMC Teays Valley Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Operating Room. You will work 5x8 day shifts, Monday through Friday from 6:50 AM to 3:20 PM, with a guaranteed 32–40 hours per week. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 23, 2026, at $2,160 weekly.

Role Details

• Support surgical teams in an OR environment serving adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
• Maintain a 1:1 or 1:2 patient-to-surgical technician ratio
• Participate in minimum 1–2 call shifts per week and one weekend of call per month
• No floating within the facility and no block scheduling

Requirements

• Current WV or Compact License (pending licenses accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years RN experience with at least 1 year in the OR
• Orthopedic experience required
• ACLS and BLS certification through American Heart Association (AHA)
• Experience with CERNER charting system preferred
• Permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility
• Prior travel healthcare experience required; first-time travelers not accepted

You will work within a collaborative surgical team and use your clinical expertise to ensure quality patient care in a dynamic OR setting. This role does not include facility floating, allowing you to focus on OR-specific responsibilities.
