Echo Technologist Job in Pittsburgh, PA

You will work as an Echo Technologist at Southwest - UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh, PA on a 4x10 nights schedule. This is a 90-day travel assignment starting September 21, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,581.

Your responsibilities include:

• Prepare for sleep studies by reviewing patient charts, testing orders, and verifying patient identification
• Set up sleep studies including electrode and sensor application according to AASM standards and patient procedure explanation
• Conduct in-center and out-of-center sleep study acquisition with focus on quality patient care
• Analyze and score sleep studies
• Maintain equipment and patient rooms, perform routine maintenance, and manage lab inventory and supplies
• Demonstrate continued scoring competency through monthly AASM ISR completion

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Graduate from a CAAHEP, CoARC, or STAR-designated polysomnography education program
• Sleep credential from BRPT, NBRC, or ABSM
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, PA Act 73 compliance

You will work under the direct supervision of the lead sleep technologist in partnership with department administrative and medical management. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience in a busy sleep medicine department while maintaining your travel healthcare flexibility.
