Interventional Radiology Technologist

Job Details:

• Work 4 shifts of 10 hours per day, day shift schedule
• Weekend, holiday, and on-call/callback shifts required per unit needs
• On-call responsibility of 1-2 times per week and 1-2 weekends of call per month
• Interventional radiology experience preferred
• Neurosurgery/neuroscience experience required
• Select exposure factors and positioning to consistently produce radiologic images of diagnostic quality
• Administer oral contrast as needed per exam
• Instruct and prepare patients for radiographic/fluoroscopic examinations and assist Radiologist during procedures
• Demonstrate competence and proficiency in operation of all X-ray equipment, CR and DR systems
• Report equipment malfunctions to manager or lead
• Demonstrate competency in use of Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS
• Maintain medication security to authorized personnel only
• Provide healthcare services to all age groups
• Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association only), ARRT
• VIR certification is a nice to have
• New York State Technician License required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
