Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Orthopedic

Job Details:

• Work on Orthopedic and Med Surg units with 30 and 37 beds respectively
• Typical patient ratio of 6:1
• Unit support includes PCTs and SNEs in tech roles with a Unit Secretary available during day shift hours
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Schedules are set in monthly increments (4 weeks); full-time staff must work 4 weekend shifts per month (e.g., 3 Saturdays and 1 Sunday)
• Floating policy includes floating to inpatient units to take patients, as well as task-based floating in CCU and ED
• Must maintain a positive attitude, be willing to work hard, manage a patient load, and utilize teamwork strategies to provide patient-centered care
• Some physicians perform bedside procedures on the unit, though less common than in CCU/ED
• Required certification: BLS
• Dress code: Scrub top and scrub bottoms required; no fleece, hoodies, sweatshirts, or sweaters; long sleeve shirt under scrub top or scrub jacket permitted; no shoes with holes; no denim or camouflage
