Maluhia in Honolulu, HI is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for a 42-week assignment. You will work 5x8 rotating shifts and earn $1,941 per week.

About the Role

As a CNA, you will provide direct patient care in a long-term care setting. Your responsibilities include observing and reporting on patients' physical and mental symptoms, implementing care procedures such as taking vital signs and measuring output, and recognizing abnormal signs. You will assist patients with activities of daily living including eating, feeding, providing fluids, bathing, and dressing.

You will support restorative care activities, including the use and application of assistive devices and range of motion exercises. You will assess each patient's age-specific needs and deliver age-appropriate direct personal care independently. Accurate documentation and reporting of patient conditions and events are essential to your role.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of work experience in a long-term care health facility
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Workers certification required within 6 months of employment
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand simple sentences in English
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions precisely

Key Competencies

You must demonstrate knowledge of infection control, universal precautions, body mechanics, and first aid. You will apply basic medical and nursing terminology in your daily work. You must demonstrate patience, tact, and an even temperament when working with patients who have a variety of disabilities. Emotional stability despite emotional and physical pressures is essential.

Previous work experience in Hawaii is a plus. Knowledge of multiple and differing cultures is desirable. You will participate as a member of the treatment team, assisting with activities and contributing to coordinated patient care.
