Telemetry RN Job in Waterbury, CT

Waterbury Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Telemetry position on the Med/Surg float pool. This 56-week travel assignment offers 4x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) with weekly pay of $2,599.

Position Details:

• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 or 48 hours of shifts available per week
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Float pool covering Med/Surg units
• Patient ratios: 5 patients during days, 6 patients during nights
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Travel healthcare experience required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications

Core Clinical Skills:

• Blood product administration
• Peripheral line care and management
• PICC line management
• Starting and maintaining IVs
• Nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Med/Surg nursing expertise

Systems & Documentation:

• Medication management: Omnicell
• Electronic health records: Cerner
• Communication protocol: SBAR

Support Services Available:

• Physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretarial support
