Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Work on an oncology and general surgery unit with 24 beds
• Patient ratio of 1:5 (estimated, never guaranteed)
• Primary nursing care model with 1 charge nurse and 5 nurses on night shift when unit is at full capacity
• Perform standard med/surg care and chemotherapy administration
• Vital signs performed every 8 hours; remote tele patients receive vital signs every 4 hours
• Chemotherapy can only be hung and handled by chemo-certified nurses
• EMR system used: Meditech
• iPhone nursing system used for texting and calling care team members
• Remote telemetry unit
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital med/surg experience required
• Required certification: BLS
• Preferred certifications: Chemo certification, ACLS
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as a team required
