Medical Technologist Job in Atlanta, GA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Medical Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at Northside Hospital Atlanta, a large acute-care facility. You will work day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM on a 5x8 schedule with every other weekend rotation required.

About the Role

You will perform laboratory testing and analysis in the CORE Lab, with a primary focus on Hematology. This is a high-volume, fast-paced environment where you will manage complex samples, including turbid specimens, platelet clumps, and abnormal cell findings. You must be competent in performing accurate differentials, including in settings with large neonatal units. Your ability to transition quickly with minimal training in core competency areas is essential.

Requirements

• Current credentials as a Medical Technologist (Allied Health Professional)
• CORE Lab experience required, particularly in Hematology
• Experience with Sysmex and CellaVision systems strongly preferred
• Prior experience in a large hospital laboratory (600+ beds) preferred
• Demonstrated competency in performing differentials accurately
• Experience managing complex samples and abnormal findings
• Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to laboratory protocols
