NICU RN Job in Thornton, CO

HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the NICU team in Thornton, CO. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 7, 2026, with a weekly pay of $1,852.

Position Details

• Work 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Located on the 3rd floor of the main tower
• Patient ratios of 3:1 for feeder growers and 1:1 for vented babies
• Core staffing includes 2 NICU RNs and 1 NNP on site 24/7 with Neonatologist on call 24/7

Equipment and Systems

• Work with Giraffe Omnibeds, STAR GE resuscitation for transport, and Giraffe with Shuttle transport
• EMR systems: CPN and Meditech

Responsibilities

• Assist NNP with umbilical line placement, intubation, lumbar puncture, and circumcision assistance
• Support admissions and initial stabilization in the delivery room
• Manage infants on Eat Sleep Console for Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome
• Provide care for Level 2, 3, and 4 NICU patients
• No surgical procedures are performed on the unit

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of current NICU RN acute care experience
• Level 2 NICU experience
• Infant resuscitation experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current NRP certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Level 3 and/or Level 4 NICU experience
• Experience with Eat Sleep Console for babies with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome
• Admissions and initial stabilization experience in the delivery room
