About this role
Mount Nittany Health is seeking a Ultrasound Technologist to join our OB/GYN department on a day shift basis. This 91-day travel assignment begins September 21, 2026, and offers $2,774 weekly.
In this role, you will perform ultrasound procedures to assist in the diagnosis of medical conditions. You will work under general supervision from the Practice Manager and be responsible for producing high-quality sonograms while maintaining accurate communication of findings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform ultrasound procedures following established protocols and safety standards
- Recognize normal and pathological features in imaging
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems, performing simple adjustments as needed
- Apply knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Utilize ICD-9 and CPT coding guidelines appropriately
- Produce and communicate sonograms with accuracy and clarity
Required qualifications:
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification required upon hire
- Registration in OB/GYN with RDMS required within one year of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per American Heart Association Healthcare Provider standards, renewed every two years
- One year of experience performing ultrasound procedures in a hospital, clinic, or physician's office preferred
- Knowledge of ultrasound equipment, procedures, protocols, and safety hazards required
