About this role
Columbus Community Hospital is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist to join its Cath Lab team in Columbus, NE. This is a rotating-shift position with a duration of 87 weeks, starting October 28, 2026. You will earn $3,504 weekly.
In this role, you will provide direct, safe, and competent patient care during invasive cardiac and peripheral vascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. You will work under the direction of the cardiologist or radiologist performing each procedure, functioning as the scrub assist and ensuring all sterility guidelines are followed.
Your responsibilities include:
- Assist with confirmation that pre-operative requirements are complete per hospital policy
- Assess cardiopulmonary and cardiovascular systems before, during, and after procedures
- Recognize, evaluate, and record hemodynamics, pressure waveforms, and EKG waveforms
- Identify and report any adverse physiological changes to the physician
- Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac, emergency, anxiolytic, anticoagulation, antiplatelet, and thrombolytic drugs and IV fluids
- Maintain hemostasis of vessels post-procedure using appropriate devices
- Adhere to sterile and aseptic techniques per AORN guidelines
- Verify the operation and integrity of imaging equipment prior to procedure start
- Operate ancillary equipment and anticipate physician needs during procedures
- Assist with supplies and ordering as needed
You must be flexible with call and schedule, comfortable during department slow times, and willing to take call on weeknights and weekends. Minimum qualifications include 2 years of experience as an Interventional Cardiovascular Technician or Cath Lab Technologist, active BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association, and RCIS or ARRT registration.
