ICU Registered Nurse Job in Bay City, MI

McLaren Bay Region is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Intensive Care Unit on a temporary basis. This is a night shift position offering 3x12-hour shifts over a 91-day assignment beginning September 28, 2026. You will earn $2,151.36 per week.

About the Role

You will provide direct bedside nursing care, execute medical orders, and collaborate with physicians to develop and implement patient care plans focused on optimal health outcomes. You will evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and adjust them as needed, integrating evidence-based practice into your work. You will delegate to and oversee Nurse Assistants, Patient Care Associates, and other ancillary staff, functioning as a team leader to ensure proper patient placement and assignment delegation. Your responsibilities also include facilitating patient conferences, participating in discharge planning, and precepting and mentoring new employees and students.

Requirements

• 2+ years of ICU experience required
• Michigan nursing license
• Current ACLS, BLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications
• Comfortable floating to ED and Step Down units
• Willingness to work every other weekend with at least 2 shifts requested from each rotation
• No on-call responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Travel healthcare experience
• Neuro surgical experience
• Open heart experience
• Additional certifications: TCAR, TNCC, CCRN, or SCRN
