Opportunity:

Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Job Details:

• Shift details will be confirmed with clinician closer to start date
• Acute care setting
• 1 week unit orientation required prior to beginning assignment
• 13-week contracts or longer available
• Mandatory call required - one night of call per week and one weekend of call per month
• Call response time of 30 minutes required (housing available for on-call needs)
• Holiday call coverage required as needed
• May be required to float within other services of the OR
• Common cardiac surgery cases include CABG, valve repair/replacement (open and robotic), ECMO, and transplant
• Thoracic surgery cases include robotic, endoscopic, and open procedures such as lung resection, VATS, esophagostomy, POEM, hiatal hernia repair, mediport, EGD, and GI/respiratory stents
• Vascular surgery cases include diagnostic angiography, percutaneous interventions, surgical endarterectomy, dialysis access management, AAA repair (open and endovascular), visceral arterial repair/intervention, and amputation
• Must have experience in cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery - travel experience preferred
• No new travelers or new clinicians considered
• Charge person available each day in the OR
• Ceil blue surgical scrubs required - hospital provided
• Charting system: EPIC
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week assignment, 1 shift for assignments less than 13 weeks
