Respiratory Therapist Job in Panama City, FL

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a backfill travel position in the NICU. This is a 91-day assignment beginning April 28, 2026, working three 12-hour day shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Role Overview

You will provide respiratory therapy services in a specialized NICU environment within a 226-bed facility. The respiratory therapy department includes 35 staff members, creating a collaborative team-oriented setting where everyone is expected to contribute across coverage needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory therapy services to neonatal intensive care patients
• Operate PB 840 and Drager ventilators
• Support deliveries and surfactant administration
• Document patient care using the Meditech EMR system
• Adapt to variable patient ratios depending on daily assignments and area coverage

Required Qualifications

• NICU experience is required; candidates without this experience will not be considered
• Adult and Level 3 NICU experience required
• Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PB 840 and Drager ventilators
• Experience with deliveries and surfactant administration

Position Details

This is a backfill position for cost center 754. You will work in a team environment and may be required to work weekends. Standard uniform is royal blue scrubs.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $1,576.80.
