Telemetry RN Job in Alexandria, LA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an RN for a travel position in the Telemetry unit at CHRISTUS St Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA. This is a 91-day assignment beginning November 8, 2026, working night shifts with the potential to transition to permanent employment.

Position Details

• Specialty: Telemetry (cardiac and telemetry patients, not a step-down unit)
• Shift: 3x12 nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Schedule: Every other weekend required; no on-call
• Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week options available
• Weekly Pay: $2,280
• Duration: 91 days

Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care to assigned patients with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1
• Utilize the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided in Epic EMR
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Assess patient learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers as needed
• Practice independently while maintaining clinical excellence

Requirements

• Current RN license in Louisiana or compact state
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

• Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs
• Overtime is not billable until after 48 hours per week
