Pediatrics RN Job in Dickinson, North Dakota

CHI St Alexius Health Dickinson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Med Surg Peds unit. You will work 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week on a 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM schedule with the option to self-schedule, weekends required as needed. There is no holiday requirement for this role. This is a 119-day travel assignment beginning September 14, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,322.

About the Unit

• Night shift nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5, with 1 nurse aide on nights
• Charge nurse present on each shift and takes patient assignment
• Care for adult and pediatric patients with diagnoses including UTI, altered mental status, pneumonia, and COPD
• No drip titration required; occasional set-rate drips for electrolytes and hypertensive medications
• Med Surg Peds nurses apply telemetry; ICU monitors telemetry and reads strips
• Occasional BiPap managed primarily by respiratory therapy; no ventilators on unit
• Pediatrician available on call for pediatric patients
• You will be first to float to ED/ICU for 1:1s as needed

Requirements and Details

• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• BSN not required
• Fit testing required; clinicians with facial hair must pass primary or secondary fit test
• Navy blue scrubs
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• Orientation consists of one 12-hour shift, with additional day or night orientation if needed
