Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Oncology

Job Details:

• 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio on days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Float requirement, rotated with staff
• 1 year of experience required in specialty
• Epic charting system experience required
• First-time travelers welcome
• Care for adult patients with cancer diagnoses including hematology, medical oncology, bone marrow transplant, and gynecologic and surgical oncology
• Work in a 7-bed positive pressure wing dedicated to bone marrow transplant and acute leukemia patients
• Assist with bedside CVC placements and bone marrow biopsies
• Administer and monitor chemotherapy infusions
• Perform blood product administration, central line blood draws, and PICC line management
• Operate Alaris IV pumps integrated with Epic, barcode medication administration, SCD machines, and Alaris feeding pumps
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA)
• Preferred certification: ONS
• Must be located more than 65 miles from facility (address on driver's license to site address)
• Must have 2 years of experience in specialty
• Compact or Louisiana license required upon submittal
