Telemetry RN Job in Bridgeport, WV

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Telemetry unit at WVU United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, West Virginia. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 13, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Every-other weekend requirement including Saturday and Sunday
• Weekly pay: $2,332.80
• Participate in holiday rotation schedule with permanent staff
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week contract

Unit Overview

• 28-bed acute care Telemetry unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5
• Charting system: EPIC
• Charge nurse coverage available 24/7; night charge nurse takes patient assignment
• Floating may be required to other med-surg and Telemetry units

Clinical Responsibilities

• Care for cardiac patients, including post-catheterization, post-percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), acute myocardial infarction (AMI), and pacemaker patients
• Manage post-operative lung surgery patients transitioning from CCU, respiratory failure patients, and those with chest tubes
• Read and interpret telemetry strips using Philips monitors
• Titrate drips as ordered
• Manage CPAP and BiPap equipment (respiratory therapy present on unit)
• Note: Unit does not handle stepdown patients, sheath pulls, or arterial lines

Requirements

• Current RN license
• ACLS (American Heart Association) certification
• BLS certification
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Ability to titrate intravenous drips
• Royal Blue scrubs required
