PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care

Opportunity:

RN - PICU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Up to 5 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights
• Holiday shifts required if contract falls during a holiday period
• No on-call requirement
• Patient ratios vary: 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on patient acuity (mixed ICU and Stepdown patients)
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks (guaranteed hours policy)
• Float within facility within scope as needed to meet unit needs
• Self-scheduling with block schedule available upon manager approval based on unit needs
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• ECMO and CRRT experience preferred
• South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS and PALS (American Heart Association only)
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Care for pediatric patients ages 0-18 with medical and surgical diagnoses including respiratory compromise, trauma, post-operative surgical patients, and neurology/neurosurgery cases
• Provide ventilatory and cardiac support, ECMO/CRRT, renal or peritoneal dialysis, and additional complex supportive therapies
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
