PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care

Opportunity:

RN - Critical Care Peds Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required with holiday rotation
• Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
• Float pool position with no home unit - RN will float to all Pediatric units including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU
• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience required
• South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License required
• Required certifications: BLS and PALS (American Heart Association only)
• ECMO and CRRT experience preferred
• Required skills include: anti-seizure medications, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, care/maintenance of acute airway, central line/implanted line care, continuous sedation, ICP monitoring, infection control/PPE, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV vasopressors, management of chest tubes, management of dysrhythmias, pediatric dosage calculations, and PICC line management
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Block schedule available with manager approval based on unit needs
