ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 12-hour variable shifts with majority of shifts running 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM, and 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, with occasional flexibility to 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM
• PM shifts may start at 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• On-call requirement of 12 hours per 6-week period with a 30-minute response time
• May be required to float to other locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• Primary location in Emergency Department - Trauma Level II, 18-bed unit
• Fast-paced environment with 3-4 patients per nurse
• Responsibilities include drawing labs, performing nebulizer treatments, and working alongside in-house respiratory therapy and on-site X-ray staff
• Charting performed using EPIC; medication dispensing via Pyxis
• Stroke certified unit serving cardiac, neuro, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory patient populations
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with at least 3-6 months of prior travel experience - FIRM
• Trauma Level II experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub colors: any color
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, able to manage change, work independently, and complete tasks in a timely manner
