Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36 hours per week offered
• Self-scheduling unit
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirement
• Float requirement to PICU and NICU
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for pediatric patients ages 0-17, including medical-surgical and hematology/oncology patients
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with 2 years of experience
• Required certifications: BLS and PALS
• Required skills: Administration of chemotherapy, care and management of ports, central line/implanted line care, isolation precautions/PPE, monitoring chemotherapy, pediatric med-surg, pediatric oncology, peripheral line care/management
• Preferred skills: IV start and lab draw, chemotherapy experience and certification
• Charting systems used: PYXIS, Epic, SBAR
• Scrubs not provided - fun kid tops and navy pants required
• 24-hour unit orientation with hospital orientation during week one requiring availability for classes each day
