ICU RN Job in Asheville, NC

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC is seeking an experienced RN for a travel position on its rapid response team. This role offers you the opportunity to work across multiple care areas rather than managing a single patient assignment, collaborating with core hospital staff on a 24/7 basis.

• Shift: 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week (6:45 PM–7:15 AM)
• Duration: 91 days
• Start Date: August 3, 2026
• Weekly Pay: $2,102.40

Role Responsibilities

• Respond to cardiac arrests, perform targeted temperature management (TTM), and deliver post-resuscitation care
• Manage trauma, stroke, and STEMI workups
• Work with a staffing model of 2 RNs per shift on a split floor plan
• Participate in rotating weekends with no on-call requirements
• Document and communicate using the Cerner EMR system

Required Qualifications

• RN degree
• Greater than 5 years of ICU experience
• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Dedicated rapid response team experience highly recommended
• Medical ICU or emergency department background preferred
