CVOR First Assist Job in Asheville, NC

You'll work as a Certified Surgical Technologist First Assistant in the 29-bed operating room at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a travel position offering four 10-hour day shifts per week, running 91 weeks starting September 21, 2026. You'll earn $2,375 weekly.

Your responsibilities include assisting surgeons during a wide variety of surgical procedures. You'll work alongside teams performing orthopedic trauma, orthopedic, spine, neurosurgery, gynecology, general surgery, robotics, vascular, urology, pediatrics, ENT, plastics, podiatry, oral and maxillofacial, dental, and eye trauma cases. The facility maintains a 1:1 patient ratio approach in the OR.

You'll have access to advanced surgical equipment, including:

• 5 da Vinci Robots for minimally invasive procedures
• Mako and Velys Robots for orthopedic assistance
• State-of-the-art OR infrastructure

The hospital uses the Cerner system for documentation. Scrubs are provided by the facility. You'll maintain flexible scheduling with call requirements and work alongside unit secretaries and available technical support staff.

You must hold one of the following certifications: CSTFA, CFA, or RNFA. This position requires advanced skills and experience assisting across multiple surgical specialties in a complex, high-volume operating environment.
