About this role

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. in Lexington, Kentucky. This is a 124-week travel assignment starting August 10, 2026, with 5x8-hour night shifts at $3,504 weekly pay.

In this role, you will provide direct patient care within the cardiac catheterization lab setting. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, identify risk factors, and collect both objective and subjective data in accordance with your RN scope of practice. You will work with consideration for patient culture, age, and developmental level, partnering with patients, families, and the inter-professional team to develop prioritized care plans and desired outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Execute patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy within your scope of practice
  • Explain procedures, treatments, and processes to patients and families; initiate comfort measures and stress reduction
  • Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition appropriately
  • Conduct ongoing assessments and document responses to procedures and therapies using the nursing process
  • Delegate tasks and oversee team members in patient care activities
  • Identify and address patient educational needs based on comprehension level
  • Facilitate the discharge process by executing orders and coordinating with Case Management
  • Participate actively in unit-based quality improvement initiatives including patient satisfaction, falls prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, CAUTI reduction, and documentation auditing

Requirements: You must hold an active RN license and have a minimum of 2–3 years of recent experience in a busy cath lab setting. You will implement professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person within a caring, healing-focused environment.
