RN - Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work 4x10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with call requirements
• Implement professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person within a caring, healing-focused environment
• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments in accordance with RN scope of practice, considering patient culture, age, and developmental level
• Identify patient risk factors, collect objective and subjective data, and obtain patient health information from family or others as necessary
• Develop prioritized problem lists and determine desired outcomes in coordination with patients, families, and the inter-professional team
• Execute patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy within scope of practice
• Explain procedures, treatments, and processes to patients and families while initiating actions to alleviate stress and discomfort
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition appropriately
• Conduct and document ongoing assessments and responses to procedures and therapies using the nursing process
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members in the performance of patient care activities
• Identify and address educational needs of patients based on level of comprehension
• Facilitate patient discharge process by executing discharge orders in a timely manner and coordinating with Case Management
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, patient falls, pressure ulcers, CAUTIs, and documentation auditing
• Minimum 2-3 years of recent experience in a busier cath lab setting required
