Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Option to sign for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 on days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Will float within service line to meet facility needs
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Primary care nursing on a Cystic Fibrosis/Lung Transplant/Medicine Unit with overflow of standard medicine patients
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Required skills include central line blood draw, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), isolation precautions/PPE, med/surg, nasal cannula, PCA, phlebotomy, and starting and maintaining IVs
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13-week contract; cancelled shifts must be the regular shift length assigned
• Maximum of 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract
