NICU RN Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Rochester, New York. This is a temporary travel nursing assignment running for 89 days, beginning November 9, 2026.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for sick and premature newborns in an advanced Level IV NICU setting
• Deliver advanced treatment support for conditions including respiratory failure and heart disease
• Work rotating day, evening, and night shifts on a 3x12 schedule
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as assigned by the unit
• Manage on-call and callback responsibilities per unit needs
• Work weekends and holidays as required by unit census and staffing needs

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license
• Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience
• Telemetry experience required
• Epic electronic health record experience highly desired (minimum one year)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) 8th Edition certification required
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification required

Compensation and Schedule

Weekly pay is $2,345. You will work three 12-hour shifts per week on a rotating schedule that includes days, evenings, and nights. Weekends and holidays are part of the rotation as determined by unit needs.
