Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• 13-week contract assignment
• Night shift schedule
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Self-scheduling model in place; manager will do best to accommodate desired schedule but cannot guarantee it
• Work exclusively within the children's hospital across all units including NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics
• Must have Level 4 NICU experience
• Cardiac PICU experience preferred
• Must be competent in caring for neonates, infants, pediatric, and adolescent patient populations
• Must be competent in the use of both the Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A
• Must be comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team requiring strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Epic experience required
• Required certifications: RRT, BLS, NRP
• PALS and ACCS preferred
• Virginia state license required; pending license accepted if obtainable prior to start
• Must hold another state license to be eligible for temporary Virginia license
• Key skills include: NICU, Pediatric Critical Care, High Frequency Jet Ventilator, High Frequency Oscillator, Bubble CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nitric Oxide (iNO), Intubation Assist, Tracheostomy Care/Management, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Neonatal Transports, Extubation, Oscillating Ventilator, and more
