PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Support patients across all major surgical services including pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery for both pediatric and adult populations
• Work within a department that services a total of 34 operating rooms across 2 floors
• First floor includes 6 ORs, 2 cysto suites, a shared Pediatric GI/Lithotripsy room, and prep/recovery cases for CT/MRI with high volume of pediatric patients
• Second floor includes 28 ORs servicing cases from Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, and Pulmonary Lab
• Must be comfortable floating to pediatric PACU as needed
• Perform care involving regional anesthesia and ECT procedures
• Utilize special equipment including Hoyer lift, bladder scanner, and AccuVein
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• 2-3 scheduled weekends per contract
• Epic experience required
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required; Critical Care Post Op experience preferred
• PACU or Pre/Post Op experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS (AHA certifications required)
