ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - MICU

Job Details:

• Work in a high acuity Medical Intensive Care Unit with a 2:1 patient ratio on days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required
• 24-hour orientation period
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Manage patients with high acuity diagnoses including COVID care and pronation therapy
• Perform and assist with special procedures including pronation therapy and vasopressor titrations
• Operate and manage CRRT dialysis equipment
• Intra-aortic balloon pump experience preferred but not required
• Float requirement may apply, including overflow to SICU at times
• Epic EMR experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Must be a non-local traveler residing more than 65 miles from facility
• No block scheduling requests
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA)
• Preferred certifications: CPI, NIHSS, CCRN
• Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, CVVHD/CRRT, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, PICC line management, titration of vasoactive drips, ventilator management, and more
