MRI Technologist Job in Oklahoma City, OK

OU Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team in Oklahoma City. This is a 12-hour shift position working days from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday through Sunday, with no on-call responsibilities. The assignment runs 89 weeks, starting August 24, 2026.

About the Role

You will prepare patients for MRI procedures, correlating clinical history with physician orders and utilizing specialized MRI and radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical imaging. You will work as part of the ELT Team and communicate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care team members to achieve clinical outcomes and service expectations.

Your responsibilities include:

• Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician-ordered procedures
• Utilize specialized MRI and radiologic equipment and techniques to perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures
• Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care team members
• Conduct post-procedure reviews to confirm all required elements are completed and documented per department protocols and accreditation standards
• Transfer images and data to appropriate archival systems and prepare studies for physician reporting
• Perform operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, high-level disinfecting, and user maintenance per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain competencies

Requirements

You must have Level I trauma experience and hold an Allied Health Professional credential as an MRI Technologist.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,763.
